The AdWords Campaign Creator is remarkable software that makes light work of the creation and management of Google AdWords campaigns, be you expert or novice.
Or, if you've been discouraged from taking the plunge into Google AdWords advertising by the risk of high costs, the AdWords Campaign Creator can minimize that risk.
"How does the AdWords Campaign Creator work?" -- Although this revolutionary software is still in development, we can tell you this...
All you'll need is the simplest possible text files of keywords as the ammunition. For example, if you sell flowers throughout the USA, you might have a 'state.txt' file of state names, a 'flowers.txt' file of flowers' names, a 'colour.txt' file of colours and a 'day.txt' file of special occasions, such as "birthday", "Christmas", "Valentine's Day", "Easter". You'll load these files into the AdWords Campaign Creator, enter some base cost-per-click bid values, define your "keyword weight" criteria, and enter skeleton text for your Ad Variation.
When you click the 'Output' button, the AdWords Campaign Creator goes to work on three distinct tasks:
1. ACC creates an ad variation for each and every combination of keywords!
2. ACC calculates every keyword phrase's precise individual maximum bid amount according to its match type, phrase length and "keyword weight"!
3. ACC generates a landing page optimized for each and every combination of keywords, and uploads them to your web space! |
It spits out the result in a choice several formats, including the "Ad Group keywords" bulk upload format and the AdWords Editor bulk upload format.
Because each automatically generated landing page matches its corresponding Google AdWords ad variation perfectly, the ad's "quality score" will be excellent, which means that its cost per click will be LOW!
It is almost impossible to imagine the enormous amount of time you'll save, not only in the actual creation of a large number of ads, but also in the weeding out of the poorer-performing ad variations very quickly. Just think how much money that would save you! |

A Google AdWords campaign, conducted well, consists of three stages:
1 - Keyword research,
2a - Ad creation, 2b - Keyword bidding, 3 - Tracking.
Google offers two free tools to handle stage 1:
A - AdWords Keyword Tool, B - Search-based Keyword Tool.
(In the AdWords Keyword Tool, "competition" is defined as a measure of advertisers bidding on a term.
In the Search-Based Keyword Tool, "competition" is defined as a measure of the number of ads showing on a term.)
Google offers two free tools to handle stage 3:
A - Analytics, B - Website Optimizer.
(While Google Analytics tells you what's happening on your site, Website Optimizer enables you to change it. You can use Google Analytics to track user behaviour on your site, but Website Optimizer will give you the tools you need to improve your site and get users to convert into customers.)
There are also several tools that you can buy, which provide an interface to Google data for stages 1 and 3, if you prefer not to use the Google interfaces directly.
The AdWords Campaign Creator handles stage 2a and stage 2b, bridging the void between the keyword research tools and the tracking tools. Additionally, the AdWords Campaign Creator actually generates landing pages perfectly matched to the ads it creates.
There's no other software in existence at any price able to do all that the AdWords Campaign Creator does. We checked. Abacus Data Systems policy for its software products is to fill gaps in the market, not to reinvent the wheel. |

Why do so many advertisers lose money with Google AdWords campaigns?
|
Since the advent of Google AdWords, campaign creation has become very sophisticated indeed, and constantly increases in complexity as the Google algorithm changes and savvy competitors vie for the top spots. It is now quite a science.
It is a fact that most pay-per-click advertisers -- almost all, actually -- throw money away and waste their time on their Google AdWords campaigns, because, to put it bluntly, they really don't know what they're doing.
Here's typical scenario A...
Step 1 - You create the "perfect" Google AdWords advertisement, and activate it.
Step 2 - After a while you realize that it's costing you more money than you're making.
Step 3 - You create another "perfect" Google AdWords advertisement, and try that.
Step 4 - You split-test your first "perfect" ad against your second "perfect" ad.
Step 5 - You start again at Step 1.
Step 6 - You abandon Google AdWords because it's costing too much.
Here's typical scenario B...
Step 1 - You create the "perfect" Google AdWords advertisement, and activate it.
Step 2 - After a while you realize that it's costing you more money than you're making.
Step 3 - You change just one word in your "perfect" Google AdWords advertisement, and try that.
Step 4 - You split-test your first "perfect" ad against your second ad with the minor change.
Step 5 - You start again at Step 1.
Step 6 - You abandon Google AdWords because it's costing too much.
If you decide not to abandon your Google AdWords campaign, but persist with it, this exercise will have cost you a pile of money and taken you countless hours of trial and error before you hit the right formula -- if you ever do. |
Why, then, should I bother with Google AdWords at all?
|
Google AdWords is the quickest way to get your product or service advertised on the Web. IF you do it well, you should make money fast; if you do it badly, you'll lose money fast.
Very briefly, your profitability depends on the quality of your:
1. Keyword research - Ideally, high search volume + low competition.
2. Advertisement relevance - The better your ad matches your landing page, the better its "quality score" = lower cost per click.
3. Bidding strategy - What and when to bid for each and every keyword phrase.
4. Tracking - Analysis of your results and split-testing until you arrive at the most profitable ad + landing page combination.
If there is a market for your product or service, and it's priced competitively, there is no reason why your Google AdWords campaign should not be profitable. As long as it remains in profit, it makes sense to continue with it. |
What is a Google AdWords campaign anyway???
|
In case pay per click advertising is new to you, here's a brief explanation.
Millions of searches are made on the Web every day, encompassing every conceivable kind of product and service.
The results of these searches appear in the free listing, occupying most of the search engine results page, and in smaller areas at the side, top or bottom of the page, sometimes known as "sponsored ads". It is very difficult indeed to get a web site to the top of the free listings, which is the reason for the existence of pay per click advertising. These smaller areas are reserved for pay per click advertisers. "Google AdWords" is Google's trade name for its brand of pay per click advertising.
Google AdWords advertisers bid an amount of money for position among the sponsored ads. The higher your bid is, the higher your ad's position will be. You pay only when a searcher clicks on your ad, and goes to your "landing page". This is the page you want your visitors to see first.
The amount you pay is not necessarily the amount of your bid; it is slightly more than that of the next lower bid. It may sound simple, but you can easily lose a lot of money if all the elements of the science of Google AdWords creation are not in place. The aim of every Google AdWords advertiser is to achieve the best position for the lowest cost. Constant tweaking is required to maintain this balancing act.
As just a couple of examples, if you want to outdo your competitors in your local area, you can gain an edge over them very cheaply with a Google AdWords campaign, simply because you won't be competing with the entire world. Similarly, your ad would have a greater chance of success with "Cobra 427 for sale" than with "Cars for sale". In short, the more narrow your target market is, the easier, and therefore cheaper, it is to reach them. |
Where can I get advice about Google AdWords campaign creation?
|
The AdWords Campaign Creator comes with an easy-to-follow step-by-step guide to tried and tested tactics, covering keywords, how to write text ads that Google likes to display, what cost-per-click to bid, when and how to bid, landing pages, research and split-testing. |
Is poor campaign management the only way I can lose money with Google AdWords?
|
No. Even the most finely tuned AdWords campaign can fail to make money, simply because the entire process is only as good as its weakest link, just like a hi-fi system: Stylus > Turntable > Amplifier > Cabling > Speakers equates to Keywords > Keyword Bids > Advertisement Text > Landing Page > Product.
Of all AdWords campaigns, only 5% of them are successful, and that's because all the components are at the optimum. Most of the people who fail blame Google, saying that AdWords does not work. This is very unfair, like the poor workman who blames his tools. The fact that 5% of advertisers -- and that's a lot! -- keep advertising continually proves that Google AdWords does work.
No one pretends that it's easy. It's certainly not. If you don't know what you're doing, employ someone (honest!) who does know, or equip yourself with professional software that does the hard work for you.
The 'Hints' in the AdWords Campaign Creator tool contain detailed strategies and tactics, written by the software company itself, to enable you to optimize the first four components: Keywords > Keyword Bids > Advertisement Text > Landing Page. As for the fifth: Product, only you can determine its desirablility and value. Would you buy your product at the price you're asking? |

For domain and web hosting, Abacus does NOT recommend:

They just tell you where to go to help yourself, and that's often wrong because they don't understand or even read the question properly. We became so frustrated that we changed our account of 250 domains to GoDaddy.
Fasthosts -- Expensive. Does not provide multi-site hosting for a single charge.
Technical support, however, is excellent.
